They are perhaps among the objects we use the most. Earphones are the companions of our days. We take them with us practically everywhere: in public transport on the way to work, to the gym or on the street when walking or jogging. Precisely because of their "universal" use, they are devices exposed to microbes and bacteria that we punctually insert into our ears. Their correct hygiene is therefore a factor to be taken into consideration.
A perfect place for bacteria
According to a recent study, earphones can host up to 120,000 colonies of bacteria and microbes , at least 2700 times more than to the cutting board we keep in our kitchen ! As you can guess, this could lead to ear canal infections. Fortunately, it is possible to carry out simple and regular maintenance of the earphones, to minimize the risk of these unpleasant consequences.
